In brief

This app is designed for children and their families. It has no accounts, ads, or first-party analytics tools, and it does not send data to the developer's servers. Some read-aloud features use the speech recognition service available on the device.

Data used by the app

The app may save the following locally in its device storage:

The app does not send this data to the developer or use it for advertising. Android device backup settings may include app data in a device backup, subject to the user's settings and Android/Google policies.

Microphone and speech recognition

The app requests microphone access only when a child uses the read-aloud exercises. Audio is passed to the Android speech recognition service available on the device to obtain recognized text. The app does not record or keep audio files. The speech recognition service may process audio on-device or transmit it to its provider, depending on the device, settings, and provider. The provider's privacy policy also applies.

Microphone permission can be denied or revoked in device settings. The exercises remain usable with a manual confirmation option.

Storage and deletion

A parent can delete progress, scores, and transcripts in the app's parent area. The name and preferences can be deleted by clearing the app's data in Android settings or uninstalling the app. Copies already included in a device backup are managed separately by Android and the backup provider.

Children and parents

The app is designed for young children and is used under a parent's or guardian's guidance. The parent controls microphone permission and can delete the local data described above.

Changes and contact
